Custom clothing presets don't work with custom characters

Klei just added this in the most recent update, however, if i try to make a custom preset using a custom character, the game crashes, does anyone know how to fix this?

It would be much easier to diagnose, if you put your server logs, including the caves server log if your server has caves.

I tested it with 3 different characters coming for 3 different mods and get the error everytime, so i created a bug report about it :

Since the issue is probably affecting every modded character, it's probably better if Klei do something about it on their hand (even just disabling the option for custom character if needed), rather than asking to every modder of every custom character on the workshop to fix (which is an impossible task, some of them don't play anymore, some will not have the skill to do it...)
