Suggestions for automation

Recommended Posts

Preface: I'm probably the only person that would want these things but it would allow for some pretty cool creations.

Subject: I've been getting into electronics now for a few months. I've found that ONI is a great tool to use when I'm just tinkering with some gates and a hand full of wires. But i am getting into some more complicated things like working with bytes, but then the game starts showing some of it's flaws (with the automation system). So i thought of some suggestions that would improve or just add the capacity for complexity to the system.

Suggestions:

1). Layers. adding a second or third layer to the automation would allow a lot more room to move wires though thous eliminating the frustrating spaghetti wires that plague my builds .. maybe i'm just bad at wiring but layers would make it much more easy to work with.

2).BIGGER Bridges. allowing wire bridges to extend over two or more spaces would be SUPER useful!! and they would just cost more to make the longer they are ..obviously.

3).Coloured wires. Pink,Red,Purple,Poop green!! Let me change those colours!! (yes colo*U*r .. i'm canadian)

Conclusion: i know you guys work really hard but if your not too too busy than these changes would really help the game. OH and yeah these changes could also go into the other things like plumbing and air vents, i just care about automation more.

Some of my handy work .. i know it's bad but it's fun.

Colored wires: They would greatly improve the experience because you can differ certain circuits.

longer bridges are in dire need for all of the systems. automation, power, pipes...

multiple layers would be nice to have, and yes they would be more compact, but also more confusing.

# It may be strange because you used a translator.
I would like to add bundled automation wires here.
Multiple automation wires to be built in the same room can take up less space.
Automated wires of different colors from bundled automation wires can be given or received different signals.
As if there were several strands in the actual wires
