RonEmpire Posted August 8, 2018 Share Posted August 8, 2018 Often times, I'm trying to figure out what Priorities settings affect the building that you really need to get worked on. For example, the medicine producing apothecary - I've set it to 9 and it just takes forever for them to get to it. even after lowering everything on the map to 1 except the apothecary. Or another example, how do I ensure they work on the compost building asap. or fix the toilet asap. It would be useful to have some sort of manual direct control over a dupe to force him to do something. It's rather annoying to have to build doors and lock them inside a room and then mess around with his priories and the buildings/tasks priorities to force him to do something and there are times where they don't do anything at all. (possibly related to bug) - associated to getting them to pick up/assign them to an outfit from a locker. Please allow some sort of option on the dupe as a button (similar to move here. to be a DO this task target cross hair button and we can pick a target building). Yannick Vachon Posted August 8, 2018 Share Posted August 8, 2018 I know for sure that for the outhouse cleaning, it is the Tidy category tasks that must be higher. Which is why I always put them at ^ at the start of a new game, until I get the lavatories up and ready. When you hover the title of each column in the priority tab, you can see what orders are affected by each selection. It takes a few times to become natural but after it, it become easier to manage. Sasza22 Posted August 8, 2018 Share Posted August 8, 2018 Most buildings that require dupe operation is under operate, even things like the hamster wheel and compost (everyone knows flipping compost is work for an engineer right :). Tidy affects outhouse cleaning but also disinfect tasks and repairing stuff. Algae terrariums and water sieves count as life support. Some of the stuff is pretty weird and it gets hard to manage, especially if you got deliver low and even with the right priority high they still wait for the material delivery. Some info about what priority affects that building operation wouldn`t hurt.
