Question about overlapping paths and roads

Hi there,

tbh I find overlapping paths and/or roads ugly and unnecessary, they are so common in DST. Anyway, do they are generate because they fail to branch off (loops and branches) or does the default map size have too few "tasks" to be properly connected with maximum 1 road? I tried to look for path genererating in the code but I don't know where. Thanks in advance.
