Slop sink and/or hose bib?

Recommended Posts

Hi,

Loving this game.  So much more approachable than Dwarf Fort but seems to have endless complexity.

It seems strange to me that I can have a fully functioning lavatory and even have a complex enough plumbing and ventilation system to circulate oxygen and fuel hydrogen reactors but my guys have to go to the basement to pump water into a jug and that my bottles need to be emptied by a device that just spills on the floor.

1. Is there a way to give the Dupes access to water from a pipe rather than the Pitcher Pump?

2. Can I instruct my Dupes to pour bottles of polluted water down the sink or toilet.  Or is there a way to connect a pipe to a Bottle Emptier?

3. Is there a way to sweep to a location rather than an storage container? ie: make a pile of bottled polluted water under a thick CO2 layer.

Thanks!

Currently no. But you can pump water under the pump so you dupes don`t have to walk too far.

No. Only the emptier can get rid of bottles or if you order a dupe to empty it on the ground.

That would allow you to put endless amounts of bottled water in one tile so would be an exploit. Only way to do it is to pump polluted water through  pipe over the place you want the bottle and order a plumber to empty the pipe (this works for gasses too even tho we don`t have a gas emptier yet).

currently yes its called a pump and you build it under the bottle emptier in a small area can be the same area as the well. the options to do this are mostly there you just need to build it. if you dont want the pump running 24/7 you add automation which is there as well to do it

i even build a well and small pool of water in my early kitchens and near sleet wheat farms. just for this purpose its very easy
