Gurgel
Currently we can dispose of gas and liquids into space, but not solids. Some can be melted, but for some it is not really feasible. I found that this seems to be the only limiter on permanent sustainability at this time. I propose to have a catapult/rail-gun that can be used to fire solids into space to dispose of them. Could be in a small variant (dupe winds it up) and large variant (uses, say, 1.8kW). he77789
1.8kW? 2.2 is better. Overall, good idea as the regolith needs great effort to melt. Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/94097-solid-trash-catapult/#findComment-1069645 Share on other sites
Gurgel
Sure, 2.2kW would work as well and make it a bit more of a challenge. My actual problem is Balm Lily flowers, melting at 9726.9C, which is basically impossible to get. he77789
No. A melting point of 9726.9C means it is not meant to be molten in any means and force melting it will make it melt into itself, which will crash the game and corrupt the save. heckubis
one tile can hold all the material you want already. dig a hole put in a door on top put box on the door open the door after dumping box poof gone.... in space no one can hear it heat. hell i have been using a couple rows of sweep only boxes for ages heck since the start of alpha. i just full them dump them and reset them. can attach a sweeper arm later but really no need for a junk launcher as of yet Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/94097-solid-trash-catapult/#findComment-1069737 Share on other sites
he77789
You mean the material deletion when 1 pile reaches 10t(or 30? forgot the number)? Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/94097-solid-trash-catapult/#findComment-1070020 Share on other sites
heckubis
Yes but the deletion of those materials in this situation is a bonus effect Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/94097-solid-trash-catapult/#findComment-1070177 Share on other sites
