I've proceed over 60 cycles.

Clean water is not enough. very very.

I've quit the game because clean water was empty.

Try looking for a steam vent. Each map has at least 2. You can also use the water sieve to clean polluted water but watch out it won`t get rid of germs. There`s a lot of water sources in the game but you need to dig out the map a bit.

You can use tepidizers in the PH2O before sieving to remove germs, or Algae Terrariums after the fact (and then sieving the germ free PH2O produced by the terrariums) 

Although if you take precautions germy water isn't an issue anyway, so it just comes down to having a decent PH2O reservoir and a couple of sieves to replenish your clean water supply.

60 cycle is quite fast for precessing alt he cean wter you noraly ge in the stting biome. Are you sing the microbe musher o make food, bcause if you are,  heavily recomend you rn to stop uisng it fast, it's a water guzzler.

yah i can go 200 cycles with 10 dupes and not use 90% of the starting water. its a hard game to get the hang of but there is lots of ways to make and clean water. the seive will clean polutents but you need either time or high/low heat to kill germs.

this septic tank boils water killing germs and cools the output to 14c lots of water., it also happens to be fed by a washroom loop so its literally producing cold clean water
