Sasza22
Currently we got raw metals and raw minerals for basc low tier construction and refined metals for higher tier construction. We lack refined minerals. But what would be the use of those? Let`s see. Refined metals are used for radiant pipes and metal tiles that are great ways to transfer heat. Waht would a refined mineral be? Maybe ceramic should qualify as one. Ceramic is an insualtor which leads us to conclusion that refined minerals could be used specifically for insulation. Insualted tiles and pipes would be build only from refined minerals like ceramic but have their costs lowered. This way we would have a new family of resources that have a specific use. Obviously we would need more of those like maybe concrete or some kind of synthetic abyssalite laterone for super insulators. Buildings generating high temperatures like the smelter and glass forge should probably require those materials to be constructed.
