DyingCrow
This is an idea that came up after i posted an automation spaghetti build in another thread, what if we could use existing automation circuit designs, that can take way too much space, make a blueprint for them, and build a circuit board with all its functionality but in a 1x1 format for each input or output, whichever is greater. A theoretical board with 1 input and 6 outputs would be a 6x6, for example. This for example The circuit board would have 2 inputs and 2 outputs, with everything in between compacted in a more manageable format, and with a typed description of what it does or what its for. Each integrated component would still be configurable as the original components. Something like this, but not like this These could be saved as external files, so we could share them. This way, if we were sharing the picture of a build, we could share the circuit file(s) as well. I know its far fetched, but thought it could be interesting to toss it out there. SharraShimada
I dont think, this will happen. I could think of mods providing integrated circuits sometimes. But building something, and shrinking into a circuit-board wont happen i think. QuantumFlux
It's a good idea, there was a Minecraft mod at some point, I think it was called Super Circuit Maker, that allowed making integrated redstone circuits in game, but honestly I think it was too much hassle to tinker with it. If they could give us (exportable) blueprints instead that would solve half of the problem already though as you could just share a text file specifying the entire blueprint of the build. Space for automation is kind of a resource too and I actually enjoy puzzling the automation pieces together. I might even build a "CPU" of sorts at some point that handles all automation needs centrally with manual switches to manipulate the system should something go wrong and a dupe locked in to handle all the switches. Integrated circuits would make that part of the game kinda moot... Smuch
Anything to help miniaturize Automation circuits because they ake a silly amount of place as they are now.
