Night vision and Shadow form

I made a vampire character a while back. She's a character that I've written before making into a character mod for DST and one of her abilities is to become and sink into the shadows to help her fight and survive sunlight. I didn't ask about how to go about doing that before since nothing close to that seemed to be in the game. Or at least, that I could remember. Plus, I was already asking for enough in the original post, so piling that on too would seem too much.

I've tried looking in that Charlie character mod on the Workshop for answers, but it didn't go well. And also, I don't want the change in stats and sanity rate it came with. While typing this, I got an idea to try out, but I would still like help on this.
