Too many hosts, too little participant

(This is probably posted before but this situation makes me really upset about the game issue that I have to make sure this is posted)

(Sorted by best latency) this is where the highest latency and unknown latency met, as you can see on the slider bar, almost 60-70% of the servers has unknown latency, and most of those servers with unknown latency has one player which is the host himself.

This problem cause people not joining them because no one knows where they're hosting from or how bad the latency is. Some people who can host without the (???) latency bug doesn't want to host, and some people who has the (???) latency bug are willing to host (such as me), it's frustrating!

When will this issue fixed? It's been 2 years since the game exit early access.

I don't really understand the problem here. You should join servers with low ping, those are usually close to your location, and vice versa, when you host people from your region can join you without a high ping. Servers that are far away and/or have bad connection will show up only further down with a higher ping, I don't think Klei can do anything to make a better connection for you to those. 

I think that the ping ??? means that it is too high, or just higher than 1000ms and it doesn't fit. You can still join them if the connection is stable (even if slow), you'll just have a high ping. There's even a game with 2 players on your screenshot.

Or if I misunderstood you, could you explain the problem a bit better?

In most cases, servers with ??? ping have a really, really bad connection to you. There's a myriad of different reasons as to why the ping could be bad, but the most commons ones are the host lives in a different country then you, and/or their connection isn't all that great to begin with.

As you may have noticed, most of those servers shown appear to be hosted by Chinese players. So unless you live in or near China, your connection is going to be absolutely terrible.

This is an old issue since years ago before release during beta, I was expecting it to be fixed after release but it did not.
(???) on latency appear due to many reasons from what I saw from bug reports and such, and it happened to me when I host.

I tried so many fixes but to no avail.

though my friend who's joining from Singapore (I'm hosting from Indonesia), he can join my game with no lag at all.

It appear most of them is Chinese because it's sorted in alphabetical order, if you scroll down the server list you'd find other people from different countries as well with this problem.
