Meteor/Regolith Solution

Recommended Posts

So a big problem at the moment is how much regolith is spawning and having to dig it all out.
An easy solution is to massively lower the meteor frequency and how much regolith they drop and buff the damage and impact area (Making sure that the bunker tiles still block the impact from spreading to tiles behind them). Easy.

If the damage is increased, the amount of surface damage would far outstrip the regolith buildup especially if you lower the amount that they currently are dropping.

Also an iron comet can already mash its way through several tiles depending on hardness, if it hits any harder it will literally carve out the asteroid.

A solution would be to make it that other than the tile it hits they don't send out additional regolith, give regolith a use, or just leave it because we already have a literally **** tonne of igneous rock, and we aint complaining about that :p

Then just make mafic rock impervious to meteor damage until it's mined. Easy
Igneous rock also isn't 300 Celsius and doesn't have to be mined out every other cycle.

Some igneous rock is just below melting temperature, the Lava biome does cool down. But you are right its not like we have to mine it, but you dont have to mine the surface either, unless you really rely on the energy from it.

But personally the amount of regolith which drops is fine, having to manually mine it is not.
