Cawub
Is there an option i somehow pressed to cap my fps at 30? I don't think it's my PC running the game on 30 fps because it pretty much never exceeds 30fps and rarely drops below 30fps. I have the steam fps on top left to see when it dips or exceeds. It only hits 31fps and 29fps when I unpause it, making the game try to go back to a stable 30. I remember I accidentally pressed a button in Don't Starve to cap it at 30fps so maybe there's one for that too in oni? Lilalaunekuh
I use "Riva Tuner Statistics Server" to cap my fps while playing ONI on my laptop. The tool let´s you choose any fps cap without a big performance impact. I could play ONI without a fps cap but my laptop would heat up, reach a temperature threshold after a time and throttle. (For me it´s mroe fun to play with constant 30 fps instead of 60fps and some lags every couple minutes) PS: There is no ingame way to cap your fps (But I would love if klei adds a way soon^^) Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/92156-fps-cap-at-30/#findComment-1051675 Share on other sites

Your pc is so slow that you can run only ~30 fps and your computer runs using his full performance => Better use a "real" fps cap and reduce the total computational load 2. You got some graphic driver with a fps cap. (Geforce experience maybe ?) => Nothing to do here except finding the tool that applies the cap Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/92156-fps-cap-at-30/#findComment-1051681 Share on other sites

Gehn
Possible GSYNC issue where it's not able to keep up with 60 so it's dropping to 30? Are you able to check the monitor refresh rate while the game is at 30fps? If it's at 30hz and you didn't set it there, GSYNC would be my suspicion. Random guess, good luck tho! Eh, it's prob just my pc and it just so happens to be running exactly at 30 fps. Before it would be somewhere around 25fps and then klei stabilized the game a bit more i guess and now its at 30.
