Russian Translation in DST The Gorge

Hello everyone! My nickname is WingdingAster0 and I am Russian Don't Starve Wiki admin (one of them). I'm writing on behalf of the Russian wiki and perhaps most of the community.

As you might know, the game has not supported other languages for a very long time. And it was a big surprise to see new languages (especially Russian which I write about here).

For your information, I report that for many years Don't Starve and DST had fan translations, which were worked on by both wiki administrators and people from outside. These modifications were very popular among Russian-speaking players. Also all Russian DSW content is based on this mods' translation. From myself I would like to add that translators, whoever they are, probably know about our existence.

The Russian translation is not perfect, although it could well be. We want to pay attention to not very good font (please note that it was much better in mods, I don't want to injure the translators but still), from which the eyes are literally tired. After digging through the files, we noticed that some of the characters ' phrases are not translated into Russian, which is also sad.

In general, we do not want to blame the translators or just fans who were engaged in localization, and I want to offer our help in translation: we would like to discuss your future work. We hope that we will be heard and supported, because there are people-modders who can improve the quality of the font at times, as well as a couple of unworldly translators who are able to help.

Also, we would like to know something else:
1) Are you going to translate a single DS into other languages or is it just a privilege of DST?
2) Will other DLCs (such as Hamlet, etc.) be translated?

P.S. apologies if some of these questions were answered earlier, however I am sure they weren't.

I am one of the developers of the Rusification Pack for DST (https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1240565842). I want to say that I'm worried about a new beta update, because after the release of the official version, our modification will become useless, and it will turn out that our entire team and other developers has done so much time and effort in vain.

Now our team is working on the translation of a new event, but we have lost interest in the development.

Single DS is already translated into other languages. They just didn't add option to choose it, but you can find translated strings in the this folder:

dont_starve\data\scripts\languages

We are not talking about singleplayer, we are talking about multiplayer.

It could be quite useful if developers will dedicate one event server for localization purposes, because it's very painful to wait for another server when restart is needed. And we should perform ALOT of restarts in development process.
