Can miners be able to dig up plants again?

Recommended Posts

No idea why this was changed. Now I need to send farmers out in hostiles biomes to dig up plants? On purpose or oversight? In my humble opinion, it is bad for the game.

Great game. Keep up the great work, Klei :)

A simple fix to the problem you described: Have digging up WILD plants be an attribute that doesn't require job training. Harvesting wild or farmed plants should be tied to the farming job, but digging up any type of plants, wild or farmed, doesn't seem like it would require any special skill. In real life, it's an easy thing to wield a shovel, but less easy to have a living plant after harvesting.

Experienced farmers should also be able to move live plants from one location to another, preventing you having to regrow from seeds. A miner could uproot a plant and get you seeds, but a farmer could uproot and plant and give you a mature plant.
