DyingCrow Posted March 27, 2018 Share Posted March 27, 2018 My current colony has 2 checkpoints, one top right and one bottom left, both with 8 exosuit docks each. Currently, they are able to exit from one and enter the other (short way from the top but long way from the bottom, across the oil field) for convenience, but this doesnt work well at all as it is. Ive had several dupes sleeping out in the wild, because they cant seem to find their way back to a vacant suit dock Very often i have to micro the situation, so they dont suffocate or starve. I know this could be easily solved by linking a shorter way across the bottom or altogether cutting access between checkpoints, but thats not the point. This behavior is completely odd, imho.. I suggest that suits should be assigned to one dock. Dupes may then enter through another checkpoint, but will drop the suit on the right dock, either by walking across the colony with it on, or taking it off and dropping it where it belongs. Suits that get dropped on the floor could as well be automatically assigned for pickup and delivery to the right dock. Imho, always permitted just ends up creating a pile of suits on the floor, which is pointless micro. I've had to keep portions of the map quarantined from each other because dupes keep entering and exiting my base from different checkpoints. That means one checkpoint ends up with exosuits on the floor and the other checkpoint with a shortage. Then it's a pain in the bum to get them redelivered and wait for recharge. BlueLance Posted March 28, 2018 Share Posted March 28, 2018 On the dock is a setting for vacancy etc, try toggling it to the other option, if for some reason the dock they used is taken they tend to freak out, because if it is on vacancy they will only go back the way they came if there is a vacant spot, whilst the other option lets them pass regardless.
