Priorities and Manual Override

Recommended Posts

Like a few other posts I've seen on here, I've had some issues in the ranching preview with actions such as switch flipping (or building enable/disable for non-automated) being accomplished in a timely manner, and also with things like ladders taking forever to be built which hinders my miners' exploration.

While tinkering with priorities is probably the best way to go about this, what about a pseudo "manual override" for single actions? For example, if I really need this switch to be flipped and putting it sub-priority 9 is still taking cycles to be gotten to, it would be nice if I could click in on a dupe and then essentially manually command them to drop what they're doing and flip that switch.

Maybe I could get my miner to finally put on that warm sweater she was assigned 25 cycles ago.

If you're having trouble making dupes put on clothes, put the clothes in a room and lock the dupe in there with the clothes.

Okay that's a hilarious but great idea. At this point I think that particular sweater might be bugged I've made a snazzy suit since then and that dupe put it on almost immediately.

On a related note, do we know what task category putting on clothing falls under?

Oh cool, that's a much better way to word and explain it than "manual override" and it seems like you've gotten a lot of traction on it.
