For things such as freeing up pipe space when its a mixed bag line, so its not backed up with a dozen back and forth 1g amounts. Kasuha Posted March 20, 2018 Share Posted March 20, 2018 The arguments I made in that thread still apply. It's impractical. If another element comes, it would still have to send out a small packet. And when the pipe on output gets filled, you can't do anything about size of the last packet in it anyway as it's determined not just by what you feed the pipe but also by the draw.
