Christophlette
Hello everyone. Here I am to expose one of my ideas. I'm sorry if it has already been suggested and I will link the other posts if it has already been said and if I can find old posts. Compactors I think we all have thought once when playing the game that those small 20t compactors are really annoying to manage... Now I think the game is well developped and is the time to add new compactors. Small storage compactor : - Height : 2 tiles - Width : 1 tile - Capacity : 20t - Capacity/tile : 10t - Material : Raw Mineral Medium storage compactor : - Height : 2 tiles - Width : 2 tiles - Capacity : 60t - Capcity/tile : 15t - Material : Metal Ore Large storage compactor : - Height : 3 tiles - Width : 4 tiles - Capacity : 300t - Capacity/tile : 25t - Material : Refined Metal (Maybe supplemented by plastic to make it late game) Suggestion : Here is a little suggestion/idea for late game storage to replace the large storage or be even more late game. Massive compactor storage : - Height : 8 tiles - Width : 8 tiles - Capacity : infinite - Material : Refined Metal + plastic in huge amounts - Consumption : Chlorine to keep it clean and sterile Now I see you coming with, but how do we access resources from the other side of the map. I have a solution for that. We now got conveyor rails in the game. Why not make use of them to make access points. It would be another structure that would allow dupes to access the Massive compactor storage from that point if it is linked to the thing. Conveyors rails going from the MCS to access points would be instant to render it usefull, as I don't see a dupe waiting 20 seconds in front of an access point to wait for his materials. What do you think of that ? Do you think it's doable ? Worth it ? Any ideas to improve this ?
