germ water into refinery then electrolyzer

Recommended Posts

So I have been using the excess clean water from my sieve to run threw the refinery then to the electrolyzer, just pumping the air into a huge area that goes up to the ice section where there is constantly dirty ice melting so its really just my initial huge area to store hydrogen.

But I have noticed its not putting out any germs.

In the screenshot the water is going into the refinery at about 23-28 deg.  Its coming out into the electrolyzer in the 50's.  But the water in the machine only fluctuates around 4-11 germs per air pulse it puts out.

I've had it running for about 30 cycles now, and threes no germs in the air at all here.

Is this a fluke for me by chancing on good conditions on the map?  or is this a good method to use?

Ultimately it's a combination of factors.  As soon as it comes out of the Water Sieve, Food Poisoning will already start dying off in clean H2O.  Then you are heating the contaminated clean H2O in the Refinery, causing the germs to die off faster.  Finally, when the Electrolyzer converts the H2O to O2 and H2, the H2 portion of the remaining germs get straight up deleted, while the germs in O2 will continue dying because they are in clean O2.  Not to mention the fixed temperature output of the Electrolyzer of 70 C.
