figaroess
I've been testing out methods to sanitize slime before distilling it, and the following system worked for a few cycles before just stopping. The upper auto sweeper just will not pick up slime from the receptacle. The idea is to allow the upper auto sweeper to load slime into the compactors for a set amount of time, then let the slime sit in the compactors long enough for the chlorine to kill the slimelung, after which time the lower auto sweeper empties the compactors. I have deleted and reconstructed everything, and I'm sure that everything connected properly (power, conveyors, etc). The auto sweeper has power, and although in the screenshot the clock sensor is off, I have been checking the system when the sensor on. I have also complete disconnected the sensor to no avail. The priority of the receptacle is 4, the compactors are 5, and the loader is 6. I have tried bringing these numbers to their extremes (1, 5, and 9, although that shouldn't make a difference), and there is no change. All compactors except one are set to receive slime. Just in case something got clogged in the receptacle, I changed one to accept everything except slime. Last thing I tried before posting is saving, quitting to desktop, and reloading the game. Nothing is moving. Any ideas? Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/87450-any-ideas-why-this-conveyor-system-isnt-working/ Share on other sites

bzzz
I think I have the same problem here: There is some problem with receptacles located higher than 4 tiles. figaroess
Yes, looks like the same issue. I just added a door to the room and now the auto sweeper is working. I immediately locked the door and the sweeper is still operating. I hope this isn't intentional behavior. The joy of the auto sweeper is that dupes don't have to be involved. Neotuck
Well I tried this in debug mode, have you tried using only one clock switch connected both sweepers? just use a NOT gate for one Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/87450-any-ideas-why-this-conveyor-system-isnt-working/#findComment-1002869 Share on other sites

Turns out the problem is the bug that if dupes can't access the conveyor receptacle, the auto sweeper won't pick anything up. Is there a way to mark a post as solved? Neotuck
@figaroess I found an alternative way to kill germs on a conveyor rail, turns out items moving on a rail can also be sterilized if the rail is running though chlorine Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/87450-any-ideas-why-this-conveyor-system-isnt-working/#findComment-1006009 Share on other sites
