Sweeping Issue - Help?

I have done everything that is advised elsewhere; I have an empty storage compactor set to "Sweep Only" and I assign my duplicants to sweep the items but they will not pick up anything.

Can anyone tell me what I am doing wrong?

I have done that as well but my duplicants will just go Idle.

Flag an item, mineral, metal, something, dupes wont put something in the bin if its not supposed to be there.

Make sure you have storage containers!

You are trying to sweep food on your pictures ( 2 muck roots and one meal lice) YOu need to have place in your food box or fridge, and you need to check the right item inside of them

Edit: And for the "sweep only" i think you need to choose some stuff in the list too not sur

Correct, food goes into a food container (ration box or fridge) and materials go into storage containers. You have to make sure you have the correct material or food box checked in the containers else dupes won't do anything.
