Dear @developers ,
I believe that OXYGEN NOT INCLUDED is already a very good game whilst still being an alpha/beta .
altho there are some bugs here and there if they are gone in the near future the game will improve drastically .
BUT the only way to make the game trully PERFECT is by adding a multiplayer to it . If u do make it multiplayer
more ppl will also want to buy it because most people play singleplayer games cracked (illegally downloaded)

but that cant be done with multiplayer versions so thats a huge benefit . Moreover , multiplayer is always fun .
A good way to add multiplayer feature without ruining the "plot" of the game would be by lets say :
Having a very big meteor or comet(the place were duplicants spawn) and have 2 or 3 spawns for
each player to control their own duplicants . Why not ,in a research tab, include a compass(or a structure to be able to track down where other players are) so once o compass is build the players will know to which side to dig to find others . only problem would be the time pause may be have a voting or sth similar to choose whether all agree to pause or speedup the time

DISCLAIMER:haven't played much the game only a bit this summer from my cousin's PC but i rly love it and
hope my suggestion will be taken into account
.

First of all if game want to have multiplayer, it have to be designed for multiplayer. It's very hard task to add MP to the game that it not designed for that. In Factorio they had to redesigned a lot of mechanics and they added MP quite early in game.

As I can see, ONI have not deterministic mechanics. It's mean that the same setup od different computers will provide different results. It's big problem in MP because everything have to be synchronized realtime.

I think that ONI will stay as Single Player game.
