Automation Black Magic - Cooling

Recommended Posts

Turns out there is an actual use for automation, or more specifically just the Not Gate.

With the Not Gate you can now daisy chain Aquatuners without the worry of heat damage "still "Probably" (havent bothered testing without) needs to be in water though" and at a signifigantly reduced per Aquatuner cost towards electricity consumption with all the benefits of the minus 25.2 degrees F reduction PER Aquatuner, the downside is reduced throughput - but a bit of supercooled water / oil is more useful than a lot of warm so its not really a negative in terms of actual cooling.

Result? an actual practical decent Water / Oil based cooling system is possible on the cheap, If you dedicate an entire Steam Geiser for it you could probably chain maybe 7 - 8

Note until they stop making automation make annoying noises aka any noise you'll have to mute your game to be able to put up with this.

How it works, the Not Gate forces each subsequent Aquatuner on while turning off the previous simultaneously with such a delay that the Aquatuner still does its job albeit at a non continuous rate.

Quick Table of Daily Electricity Consumption

No Aquatuners   |   KJ Per Day  |   Layout Version
1                             668.1               N/a
2                             556.3               N/a
3                             729.9               N/a
4                             895                  1
4                             601.6               2
5                             Testing was just under 1000, 960 something

Daily report of four Aquatuners (Note there are two different versions you can make with even numbered Aquatuners, a super efficient version with worse throughput (Version 2) and a more power hungry with better than version 2 throughput (Version 1)

And a layout for a five Aquatuner layout, my original game with heated water allowed me to run 5 without pipe breakage for a while using water hence this is much better with oil and came up with about 960-1000 KJ per day from recollection

Want a Tepidizer that heats up polluted water to evaporation point? thank Not Gates again!

Consumes the same power as a single Tepidizer or less to boot Took about 6 cycles to heat 100 F water to boiling point

I'll give you the benefit of the doubt since it wasn't in the announcement, but Tubular Upgrade added a new option:
