how do u plant trees saplins grass ect ect?

just wondering how do u plant trees grass saplins bamboo vines coconuts blablabla
me see it say the words plant when im holding my finger on the item and drag it to the ground but its just droping them not planting

you have to let go of the item when the "plant" prompt shows up then tap on it.

The current way this works is horrible (especially because you get beck into the menue when u want to plant on the lower half of the screen.

I wish they would let us click the items select plant and the nplace the trees like u can buildings
