Anarod
Hi. I have an "old" laptop with an i7 at 2.2 Ghz and a GT635M and a PC with an i5 6400 and a GTX 1070. Oddly enough, my laptop runs the game lag free, super smooth while my PC lags like hell...The game runs around 35% to 55% of CPU usage, always lagging even if it's at 35%. I've tried using windowed mode at 1280*720 and it still lags a lot. Another thing, I have an SSD and the game loads a lot slower than on my laptop, which doesn't have an SSD. I've just reinstalled a clean Windows 10 and nothing has changed. Help? kplayerprefs.yaml The Viral Burrow Cycle 126.sav
Tasolth
On your fresh win 10 install have you installed the chipset drivers for your system? Video drivers version? tried using a few different versions of the video drivers? What is your idle cpu usage when the game isn't running?
GrindThisGame
The game is mostly CPU intensive, so the i7 will generally win out unless it's a very old i7.
Cilya
The only difference between a desktop i5 and a desktop i7 is hyperthreading if I remember correctly. I don't think it would be of any help for ONI. The choice of the i5 might be important though. The 6400 doesn't seem bad at all.
leoladoudou
Playing with an i3-6100 after 400 cycles and more full speed without lag except for 1 second at the beginning of every cycle... I don't think the i5 6400 is the problem here, nor the 1070.
Anarod
I found the problem. My CPU was being limited to 0.8Ghz due to a motherboard issue o.O' After solving it, the game runs super well Thanks for your help
