Configure XBox 360 controller dead zone

Recommended Posts

Hi! I'm playing with a pretty old XBox 360 controller, where the thumbsticks are not what they once were. They don't quite go back to the original middle position when released, which causes them to always send a slight input in some direction. In most games this can be dealt with using a "dead zone" setting for the gamepad, where you can choose how close to the middle position the game will interpret as a "0" input. However, I haven't been able to find one for Don't Starve Together. Is there one that I haven't found? Or is there another way to solve this issue (which doesn't involve tweaking the hardware)?

Hey @hassanbot, welcome to the forums. Have you actually tried to manually calibrate it with Window Settings? Check this method from support.xbox.com and see if you can set the dead zone as 0 input that way. Other than that I have no idea on how to calibrate it for the game.
