domze Posted September 17, 2017 Share Posted September 17, 2017 Suddenly the game strated to crash on me and I don't know what to do. I get fine to the main menu but when I press "Host Game" I get an error message saying that dontstarve_steam.exe has stopped working and then it exits to desktop. I verified the steam files, they were OK. I uninstalled and installed it again. I removed the local files from document folder. Nothing seems to help. I checked the Windows log and there are errors with following data: dontstarve_steam.exe 0.0.0.0 59b972c9 MSVCR90.dll 9.0.30729.9279 57fb316a 40000015 0007354f 3ac4 01d32fe2dd28239b C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Don't Starve Together\bin\dontstarve_steam.exe C:\WINDOWS\WinSxS\x86_microsoft.vc90.crt_1fc8b3b9a1e18e3b_9.0.30729.9279_none_50939ec6bcb7c97c\MSVCR90.dll 355c97bb-bfcc-44d5-86b7-f391c3382d99 It looks like the problem occurs inMSVCR90, so I tried to rerun the vcredist, but it didn't help.
