LootDemon
So in the real world, hydrogen fuel works by reacting with oxygen and producing water (essentially reversing the electrolyzer's effect. It might be cool to see how this might be implemented into the game in the future, alongside energy sources that are regenerated potentially and steam/humidity
Ciderblock
If burning hydrogen required oxygen and yielded water, and you were using electrolyzers to get oxygen, then you would just have to dump hydrogen into a tank, and you would eventually die from just not having anywhere to put it. This is because dupe breathing doesn't even approximately conserve mass, 99% of the mass they breathe in is just destroyed. So there is no way to recover their breath to recycle it, which means you need a constant net input of oxygen. Actually burning hydrogen that you had produced earlier by electrolysis would be almost entirely pointless; the only point of it would be as a battery, but the game already has black box batteries that work just fine. If you wanted to make the chemistry more realistic, then you would need to make oxygen be closed loop, like it is in the real world. You could do it chemically instead of biologically if you wanted, but still.
