pseudoclever
Could anyone tell me what I'm doing wrong here? I can't get water to flow into this system. There's plenty of water pressure - I've even got two pumps going. The pumps give the error message "pipe blocked" unless I deconstruct about the Y-joint in the bottom right. yungmew
Probably a bug with that loop with the purifier. disable the water purifier from the system and vent the polluted water elsewhere temporarily, then re-establish the purifier. pseudoclever
That worked, thanks. After I let enough water flow into that network of pipes I closed off the intake from the bottom right. A bug I guess - the price of playing an early release. CodingKitteh
Pipes can only flow one direction, if you connect a part of a pipe where it can potentially conflict, it will stall. Your stall location is the vertical piping that is between the two T-junctions which runs on the ladder. The game cannot determine which direction is your flow. In terms of multiple loops, a pipe can split flow away or combine flow, however you cannot mix and match split flow or combine flow. In other words, if I have one liquid input source, water pump, I can split as many different pipes away from the pump. If I have one outflow, I can combine as many pipes into that flow (e.g. a liquid vent) For your situation to work, you need to combine the outflow of the water purifier to unsplit pipe coming from your water pump because both will always flow INTO another object. Assuming your bottom pipe is influx (bottom to top), connecting your water purifier pipe to that pipe before any junction is the solution. clamjam
One of the users here has done a lot of research about the way pipes function, and how to manipulate the pressure of their contents. Check out Kasuha's comment regarding the water buffer that he installed. I use his design on every base I make, and I highly recommend it. Townkill
strategically placing valves can also fix loops, try experimenting a bit Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/79538-frustrating-why-isnt-my-bathroom-working/#findComment-928541 Share on other sites
