TrollerCon
Just started playing the game. Love it so far. One of the things my wife and I love about DS\DST is the ability to manipulate the world with the in game menu on startup. Want to set it to complete easy mode and explore\base build...check. Want to set a ridiculous amount of baddies to appear and laugh and have fun at what happens...check. I'd like to see this inside Oxygen Not Included as well. Maybe I don't want any CO2 in the game at all, or maybe I want all my dupes to be immortal, or maybe I want all my dupes to dig\build instantly. Some of these customization options would obviously break the normal game. Perhaps I make no algae, no polluted water, and no sand for a new game. Probably won't end well But that's on me, lol. In DS\DST those options got really fun to tinker with. Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/79473-customize-world-dupes/ Share on other sites
LeadfootSlim
Later on, this'll probably be an option, but personally I like making things harder rather than easier. I find a lot of these types of games start to fall apart when there's no consistent definition of the "game" because everyone plays with their own mods/settings. So, option to turn off Natural Gas, or to have only Cold biomes? Sure. Option for immediate Geyser at spawn? Maybe not so much. Not something i would like too close of my base.
