Kasuha
Similar to how dupes stop running hamster wheels when they charge the batteries, similar thing should happen with hydrogen generator (and I guess coal too). Either it should stop automatically and start again when batteries cross the threshold, or dupes should pick up the task of turning it off and on automatically to prevent wasting materials. It should only work all the time if there are no batteries in the grid to which it is connected (or if all its power is used). I know I can disable/enable it manually but it's not a lot of fun constantly watching if my generators don't waste resources or if my local grids aren't out of power while I'm trying to expand the base. I have some devices on that grid that run constantly but don't use all the generator's 800 W. And when batteries are full, the generator just keeps running. scientas
Is there something else on the circuit that could draw enough power for the batteries to never be completely full?
Yokhen
I suffer from this same issue. At one point the dupes decide to run the wheels to fill the batteries, alongside it I activate the H-generators, even when the dupes charge the batteries to 100% and then stop, the H-generator(s) won't. I think they still have to fix or implement code for this. It's pre-alpha after all.

No, the sum of consumers on the grid is less than 800 W the generator provides. 8 minutes ago, Yokhen said: At one point the dupes decide to run the wheels to fill the batteries, alongside it I activate the H-generators, even when the dupes charge the batteries to 100% and then stop, the H-generator(s) won't. Yeah that's my case too. Even though the wheels are at priority 4, my dupes sometimes are idle enough to go running on them. I have been concentrating on other parts of the base so I didn't notice if they are there when the batteries fill up, I just always find the generator running into full batteries. Kasuha
I tried it today with the generator being the only source in the circuit and it still won't switch off. It even reports "batteries sufficiently full" but it has no effect.
