Lets talk about the end goal!

Theres a thread about making nuclear power and theres starting to be a problem ... why? So I thought ... what if there is a end goal that needs such amounts of power. What would one do with the power of a nuclear reactor, something thats so risky and hard that it wouldn't make sense for people to make if current generators cover most of the energy needs.

What about a huge ass engine to move the asteroid? Warp engine?

Stargate?

Phone home?

yeah i would love to build like a huge satellite that is powered by nuclear energy to call home as one of the possible endings.

Knowing Klei (and Don't Starve in particular), I suspect the end game will revolve around something more... Lovecraftian.  In their thread, they state that they have "buried artifacts" and "mysterious objects hidden in the world that may help or harm you".  If I were to guess, this is probably the direction they will take the game.  I know some people probably won't like this, but personally I love Lovecraftian horror.  It also kind of reminds me of that old flash game Motherload, which ended with you killing **** when you dug to the bottom of the map.  In any case, I'm sure that Klei will come up with something fitting.
