Masterpintsman
Valves and switches should be swapped when it comes to connectors: the current approach is confusing and it would make more sense if valves would not use connection points (the tooltip on the valves already states that it's the metal pipe equivalent of kinking a garden hose) while switches should (an opening in the circuit is needed as squeezing a wire wouldn't help to reduce electric flow). This would enable to build valves inplace without having to tear open the pipe/vent (like placing/removing a switch currently does) and would would also explain the inability to turn them off completely (as they just squeeze the line), while for a switch the wire has to be cut. The side effect of valves and bridges to direct the flow should be put into a separate 2x1 building (check valve) that uses the connector style, an electrical version (diode) would be nice to enable to setups with different power banks (big one for continuously needed stuff like oxygen creation / air scrubbing, smaller dedicated buffers where it dosn't matter that much if they run out at night / while the duplicants are busy with other things like powering lights at night, background water purification setup that fills the main clean water storage tank, ...).
