jim972601714
lets say, if we dig a path to a vacuum room should all the gas flow in and fill the space instantly? the oxygen and co2 also seem too leveling in a extream slow speed, sometime oxygen can trap a strip of co2 at the celling. Tamedwilds
Yeah i too think its too slow... I open a hatch of my base to the dangerous outside environment.. i expect to see my precious oxygen RUSH OUT lol like a movie
Vilda
Kinda on fence with this. On one hand, the gasses mix and travel too slowly. On the other your precious oxygen does not rush out every time you open airlock. Would be cool to build a proper one (Double doors, pump out oxygen, filter other gasses out) but that would need correctly working pumps and stuff like logic circuits to not micromanage it. HenryBlatbugIII
Yes, the gas flows far too slowly. The pressure should equalize on the scale of seconds rather than days, preferably with amusing animations or even dangerous effects if you dig into vacuum. There are also a few other bugs with the gas flow, like the fact that the pressure doesn't equalize at all between clouds of different gases and that there are small regions of much lower pressure along the borders of the clouds. Also, for some reason, chlorine floats above CO2 despite being significantly heavier. The game is still in alpha, so hopefully they're still working on the gas model. It's currently working as a good start, but it's terrible if they consider this to be the finished state.
CruelCoin
Right now, the only viable way i have found to deal with CO2 is to build a sump with those algae recycler things. Without a sump, i fail pretty quickly.

You can get much farther if you exploit the fact that contaminated water generates contaminated oxygen.
