DNsingbanana
It says it is supposed to, and i assume that's where the heat comes from, however if you just connect a battery and a manual generator, once the battery is full you can check and the power does not go down over time. Have you manage to see it loses power and how much?
HenryBlatbugIII
I haven't tried it myself. Assuming the description is correct, tiny batteries hold 10 kJ and lose 2 W. Therefore, it would take 5000 seconds, or 1.4 hours of real time, to lose all the charge from one. It would lose about 10% of its charge in ten minutes, which should be just about noticeable on its status meter. Has anyone observed one for that long? terrachronos
I can tell for a fact that they do lose power, at least the tiny ones. I can't say the exact rate, but I've seen the power level drop during the night with one the science machines attached.

I have also seen the power drop on a small battery that were not powering anything at the time.
Flint-Pluchtulunt
I changed once my batteries location, and kept the old ones disabled, in case of probs with generators. They stayed full at least 20 cycles, I think even 30. Then they dropped to 0 in less than 10 cycles.
jim972601714
If you look at the cycle report it will tell you how many power have been lost.

Yeah but infortunately it also accounts for things such as coal generator overproducing. The thing is still that in a lot of cases batteries don't seem to lose power constantly, but in spikes or i don't know
