FrontierHero
Well I'm back again with another question lol. This time, it involves the mod itself. My mod is working GREAT thanks to several helpful people here in the forums, but now, my mod's parts are not all in the places I wanted them to be. I fixed most of this, but cannot fix all of it. my mod's cape is in the wrong place, the mod is too short compared to how it should be, and i'd like to have the hair on the back-facing model as well. I tried fixing this simply by dragging the images around on Spriter, but I found it did nothing. I tried looking up similar problems to this on the internet; I only found one, and it did not help at all. I tried finding tutorials on how to add new parts from scratch, but i could not find one. I tried searching through my files for the build file, but I could not find one. so, does anyone know how to manually change the arrangement of the mod's parts? I know there must be a build code somewhere that tells the parts what coordinates to link up to, if that makes any sense. I would just like to know how to change them. If you know where this is, you can tell me, and I will just mess around with the coordinates (on a copy file, of course!) until I get what I want. below I've listed what's wrong, and what I'd like changed, with images. I hope that helps! thank you for reading, and i appreciate any help you can give! I know this is a 'wierd' subject; apparently it's something either no one talks about, or something everyone knows how to fix already except me, so if someone can't explain this, that's fine! I'd just like to be able to find a way on how to fix this. thank you!
RedHairedHero
If you move around an item in spriter it won't impact the character's appearance inside the game. In order to change it's placement you can either change it in the actual image file you created or in Spriter you can move the red dot that's on the cape, after you move it to your desired position right click on the dot and choose Overwrite Default Pivot. Hope this helps out. Edited February 21, 2017 by RedHairedHero

But thanks for your very informative reply too !

But thanks for your very informative reply too ! oh, that's actually what I initially thought you meant, so i guess it still answered your question lol; but yeah, overriding the default pivot should do this; that's what I've been doing all evening! (the only drawback is it doesn't show you how the sprite will look in game on Spriter when you do this, so the only thing I know how to do is just move it and reopen the game lol

It gives you a much better idea of where to move your image and just remove it when you're done. I would try to stick with putting the pivot at the base of the characters neck for your cape and from there adjusting the cape's position in your actual image file.
