XicoFelipe
It's kinda weird this one isn't implemented yet, to be honest. Photossintesys uses light, water and carbon dioxyde to produce oxygen, water (overall it consumes water) and glicose. I believe it's reasonable for the algae terrarium to produce algae, since right now both water and algae are non-renewable (maybe they are further down the research tree, but I didn't reach that yet). Water is a little renewable (if you use it in showers & lavatories - I stopped using these to be honest) but at a very low ratio. You can convert contaminated at a pretty slow rate, but it will eventually run out. Some elements produce contaminated water, such as the bio distiller (takes slime in, produces algae, contaminated water and some contaminated oxygen), but the rate is very low. The only current source of algae (aside from digging and finding some) is the biodistiller

It produces both contaminated water and contaminated oxygen (which is labeled as very toxic from creation). Additionally, the conversion is very slow at a measly pace of 1000g (that's right, only 1kg) per conversion. That's about 1s of oxygen production for every idk how many seconds to convert that slime to algae. Algae just isn't too viable a source of oxygen unless you found some ridiculously massive amount of algae deposits in your world. It's pretty much meant for the early game. 5 hours ago, XicoFelipe said: It's kinda weird this one isn't implemented yet, to be honest. It's very reasonable to make Algae renewable, considering it's ungodly consumption rate. Also, there is nothing right now that makes both water and algae renewable, even further down the research tree. The closest thing to making water and algae renewable is the biodistiller, which isn't viable for long term water and algae production in its current state. There is a fish like creature which converts Contaminated air to slime.

The post wasn't about the availability of slime, it was about how slow the bio distiller is.
