I don't know why exactly Klei won't do this but they seem to be pretty silent about a few things such as Split-Screen, changing the vote system and buffing characters that were nerfed in DST (compared to DS). Local is one device. Also LAN requires multiple computers and multiple copies so it's ******** to pretend they're equivalent.
