Mencken
I don't need a farm any more (though you do need veggies for caves) or rabbit traps. Pigs and the Beefalos, lure them to tooth traps for food, use drying racks. In the winter time hit the shoreline and attract pengulls with strategically placed tooth trap arrangements, instant bird meat and eggs. Another benefit is that those traps remain for later usage and double as another line of defense with the hounds. Last winter I ate one piece of corn from the farm and saved most of the meat on the drying rack for expeditions to camps #2 (near cave), and camp #3 (in the cave, in progress). Kind of like mountaineering, you have a huge base camp and then each successive camp is smaller. Another visit from my dear friend (no pun intended) Deerclops, I stayed to the left of the tooth traps and he/she wandered right into them. Like watching a show, I just stood there and harvested the eye 15 seconds later. Some wall damage but minimal. Mobbstar
Am I the only one who sees Maxwell's smug smile in those tooth traps? (the monster meat is the corner of his nose) Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/73032-tooth-traps-are-so-versatile-killed-deerclops-in-15-seconds-with-screenshot/#findComment-854841 Share on other sites
