Offline Skins

Couldn't find any discussion about it while searching.

So, will offline skins ever be a thing in DST? I'm talking about the owned ones of course.

I mean, Battleblock Theater lets players use their Steam inventory offline.

Not sure about CS:GO offline mode, but I know it is possible to make desired skins available on private/dedicated servers while online.

Now, why not to use some kind of Steam inventory cache? I am not sure about how stuff works on Battleblock Theater, but it seems there is something like that, an user inventory cache, which CAN'T be used by anyone other than the Steam account/inventory/BBT copy owner.

Could something like that be available on DST at some point?
