Add Candy Canes for Don't Starve Together Christmas event?

Recommended Posts

I don't think it would be that difficult for the devs to just add a candy cane to DST! Plus, It would make my & probably other player's DST Chirstmas experience much more jolly, maybe you can get them out of little present boxes laying around or something with some other goodies like gingerbread men, fruitcake & peppermint drops! Maybe even some accessories like a tiny mistletoe charm or Christmas ornaments would be nice just like the Halloween event got! Maybe, they could even make a walking cane called the "Candy Cane" & it's made out of candy canes that would be so awesome, I would literally squeal from joy :D~!  Though, i'd be content with just a candy cane :D~!

I definitely think it'd be a very neat to add some more Christmas spirit into DST, unless they're already planning something like this...which would be awesome as heck :D~!!!

Heh.  Would that be another thing you get from the Pig King, ala the Hallowed Nights' candy?  There would have to be random trinkets around to trade him for the candy, but I'm not sure what exactly. Maybe digging up a grave could reveal "broken ornament" or "forgotten garland".  We could find a random painted wooden star in a meteor field and freak out about "Man, this place is more dangerous than I thought!"  I would say you could roast chestbirchnuts on an open fire, but (a) we already do that and (b) the birch trees drop nothing in winter anyway.

Of course, the Krampusnacht event would take place in whatever season your server happens to be in when it hits...Australian Christmas, anyone?  SURF'S UP, DUDE!

...okay, not LITERALLY, we'd need Shipwrecked for that.  Christmas Luau on land then, whooo!  (I wonder if you _could_ decorate up your place in Shipwrecked (alone) to look even vaguely Christmasy, colour-scheme-wise?  Huh.  Interesting creative challenge, at least. NOT INCLUDING MODS, you cheaters.  ;))

As for your idea Arlesienne...yeah, I gotta say, Death filling in for Santa Krampus The Hogfather would indeed be WAY WAY more in the Don't Starve spirit.  Bwahaha!  That or a clockwork steampunky version of the evil Futurama _robot_ Santa.  Gotta say, either one would fit, especially if the robot one was fancy-looking somehow.

But this is the _Don't Starve_ holiday season we're talking about, so either way...

...you better watch out...
