Dont starve together deerclops spawn distance.

Recommended Posts

Right now, i am actually playing alone on my dont starve together world. I am on day 27 and it is night. The deerclops should spawn after that. To prepare i have some jerky, green caps, 2 log armors, tentacle spike, and a spear. I also made a fake camp for when the deerclops attacks. I made the fake base a decent distance from my real base. So i just want to know something. How far away does the deerclops spawn from the player. I know when it does spawn though it will normally want to destroy structures first. Does it for example spawn 20 berry bushes away? I do NOT want my normal base to get destroyed cause he happened to spawn right near it when i was at my fake base. (i also have a pig village with pig king near my base but not too close). Btw i am also playing as Wilson.

He will spawn roughly one screen away from your character. It could be any direction though... up, down, left, right. If he spawns in-base, attack him with anything and he will aggro on you and ignore your base. You will occasionally have to re-attack him though, to keep the aggro on you instead of him wandering away in search of your structures.

I wouldn't bother making a fake base, personally. I prepare for his eventual spawn by building my primary base in a location close enough to some sort of disaster I can lead him to, if he spawns on me. I prefer to build close to a swamp or a heavily-wooded forest, so I can lead him to tentacles or let him knock over trees and spawn treeguards.

Thx for your reply, but i am late on this comment and i am 2 days away from summer and me leaving base with another fire pit worked. Usually if there are no strucutres he wont come and attack you. That is why some people are confused to why he "never spawned". I just happened to have some walls there and he came for them. When i saw him coming, i went up to him as fast as i could with walking cane and hit him. Then i ran around in circles for the whole night and then took him somewhere far from my real base. Anyways i am gonna post another thread soon cause this will be my very first summer xD.
