Misapprehension

Recommended Posts

I was expecting that DST would feature local co-op, and I have to say I am very disappointed that it doesn't. I know Klei isn't responsible for my misapprehension, but I also know they read this forum, so put me down as very interested if this is a feature that might be added.

Local co-op has never meant lan. Split screen would be fine, but I don't understand why everybody assumes those are the only options. There are 15+ years of co-op games where two players share the same screen. Diablo III's very successful console version plays that way. It would be a good fit for DST.

Well like I said, the console version of DST (not released yet) is going to include split-screen co-op

LAN literally means Local Area Network, and when I see a PC game say it has local co-op I never assume it means split-screen play. And I don't think there's really a ton of demand for two or more people being able to play simultaneously on the same box that generally sits at a one-person desk.
