A minor oversight with destructive consequences.

For a webber player with a spidery base, a player ghost can be their worst nightmare.

If a player ghost were to haunt a spider den, it would send the spiders from that den into another nearby den. causing them to destroy it.

Now scale up that idea, What if somebody has around 12 spider dens? Most of their food supply and all of their defenses would crumble before them, just because of a ghost clicking on their dens.

I uploaded some code I stole a mod that helps people prevent this from happening by showing them how to space their spider dens far enough apart.

People are upset, 312+ players subscribed to this mod to try getting around this issue, but spacing your spider dens that far apart can make it difficult to set up defenses and whatnot.

I asked my acquaintance BirdyMurakami for his thoughts on this, this is what he said.

My thoughts on the matter? Well I find it quite frustrating how ghosts can just kill off my spiders whenever they please. According to my comrade, I have to have them spaced far enough in order to prevent any destruction. However, spider harvesting is not as easy to do with that precaution.

Update: It's been fixed! The legion of webbers will rise again!
