lucashc90
Goodnight fellow starvers. My pc had its video card blown about a year ago, so I rely mostly on simple games to entertain myself, problem is, DST is not devoid of lag for me. I had great fun these month I have started playing it, but I wouldn't last much since lagging would always kill me near tentacles and during hound waves (not to say that kitting deerclops and taking turns on rooks are absolutely suicide), but I discovered that the "c_godmode(true)" command was good for reviving my char in unfair deaths. HOWEVER, as of a week ago, this command suddenly stopped working... at all! I tested the c_give and c_spawn, and they work like a charm, the problem being only the godmode... after running short of meat efigies and touch stones in my most precious save file, I had no other choice besides resetting it today... What bugs me is that during my first half hour, "c_supergodmode(true)" worked as usual while I was alive, but only once, and all godmode stopped working again as soon as I died (just got killed by a hound wave on day 19 because I was slingshooting all over the place in a dense forest). Why isn't it working anymore while all other commands are? Are there any ither alternative for revival as a ghost? I might stop playing the game at all since its like masochism taking time to build that perfect place only to dir to BEES! (and I don't have money for a new video card) (RIP my old base) Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/68316-godmode-isnt-working-anymore-need-to-revive/ Share on other sites
rezecib
@lucashc90 Hmm, it's still working for me. However, the revive part of it just runs this, so you could do it directly: ThePlayer:PushEvent('ms_respawnfromghost') Alternatively, you could spawn an amulet and haunt that: c_spawn('amulet') Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/68316-godmode-isnt-working-anymore-need-to-revive/#findComment-785857 Share on other sites
Gingerbread
Try this. I have never seen c_godmode() was working to revive a player and i am messing with console commands maybe for more than 10 months and never seen c_godmode() was working to revive yourself or any other player. But this was always working. c_supergodmode() 1)Revives you if you are dead (I guess it has life giving amulet effect) revives you with half hp or whatever it is) but does not put you into god mode (if you are dead). 2)Puts you into god mode if you are alive. 3)If you are alive does not only puts you into godmode but also makes all your stats full (sanity, hunger, hp) Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/68316-godmode-isnt-working-anymore-need-to-revive/#findComment-785874 Share on other sites
Muche
As far as my records go, c_godmode and c_supergodmode always revived a ghost player. Up until last week's v180846, they didn't accept any parameters and toggled the godmode status (for a non-ghost player), so c_godmode(true) was equivalent to c_godmode(). v180846 changed them so they accept target player now (if nothing is passed, use the player entering the command; and still toggle the godmode status for a non-ghost player). This made your c_godmode(true) not work anymore, since it's trying to do something to true, which is just a boolean value and doesn't refer to a valid player. Arlesienne
There can also be c_spawn("resurrectionstone") for touchstones. But godmode ought to work. How about supergodmode?
