Quick Note About Vote Kick: The Counter

Recommended Posts

I often experienced gameplays with other players in which they get angry because you open their Chester to see what they got.

The problem now is that whenever this kiind of situation happens, the player can always start a vote kick which will automatically be applied since (according to my experience) non-experienced player will not even bother to ask what is going on and will just "follow the lead" even tho they JUST got into the server.

Repeat the process when you wanna come back into the server.

Not angry tho: I really feel such kind of system should exist. But still, wouldn't it be better if the vote count was hidden? That is actually the only thing that I feel wrong about it. Maybe that would prevent easily influhenced people to just "follow the lead" and make their own decision or talk about it in the chat.

Agreed, there should be atleast a cooldown prior to every successful boot to said player. 20 minutes, then if kicked again, 40, then 60, so forth.

Thus, people MUST propose an unanimous decision rather than an instinctive kick, as it would be more serious in terms of penalty. And so like you mentioned, votes that are tallied should not be visibly distributed yes or no to avoid some portions of bias.

And if someone gets kicked, an animation of shadow arms pulling them into the ground would be satisfying. "Charlie is not amused."

This, I agree with this...

Though generally, I don't have problems with the vote kick. Showing the number of voters is useful in that it lets you tell what the consensus of the server is... though from what you have stated, the problem is the people who just vote regardless of whether they know why they should have vote-kicked you... as a general rule when this happens, I usually ask first about what happened... and 9 times out of 10, the guy actually was worth kicking...
