grekon
So how do they breed? Do they repopulate? They have to, right? Also any tips on what should be used to farm them effectively? DeputyDeath
A guy answered the question on a thread of mine. Basically, they repopulate during calm season (I think) as long as you keep their numbers below 6. PhelsarusBeel
From what I noticed Waterbeefalo don't leave the marsh areas of the biome you find them in so you could just stand near the edge of that and shoot them with a speargun wait till they loose aggro and pick up the spear again. Rince repeat till the Beefalo is dead. Maybe even worth a shot to see if all of them aggro if you shoot one from pretty far away cause that could also be a way to seperate them easily. In general I feel like ranged weapons are your best buds when dealing with Water Beefalos. Except you somehow get them on land but good luck with that. I lost 3 or 4 water beefies because they walked into a beehive during monsoon season. You could also set up some elephant cactus, or (most reliably) use a houndius shootius. They are expensive as all hell, but it's the best way that I can think of. As Mr.P suggested, a speargun would work fine. I'm fairly certain you can use a telelocator on water beefalo if they're on land, but I will have to test that.
