ikatsuke
Hi, is there a way to download an specific version of DST? I am aware that I could disable Steam auto-updates, but it would be a bit difficult to coordinate with my friends to disable at the same time and end up with the same version on all players. The main objective of this is to ensure that tested mods for a given version remain working over the period of playing in a server and not finding nasty surprises after a game update breaks compatibility and requires the mod to be also updated. which may be delayed and overall forcing me and friends to disable the mod entirely. Any thoughts? Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/67744-dst-specific-version/ Share on other sites
MrNaxeros
Updates are not that common. You can coordinate disabling auto-updating. Other than that I'm not sure if it's possible to just choose specific version of DST, if any game for that matter. ikatsuke
@MrNaxeros, One solution i found for Don't Starve (non-DST) is using the GoG version. Since you can download a zip file that contains a very specific version of the game. And unless you use the Galaxy client, there won't be any updates to it without manual intervention. That would be great if DST made it to GoG. I hear you though, for the time being I will try to do by with just disabling updates. Was just hopping for a more explicit way to get a version than opting out of updates. Thanks! unitato
Not to my knowledge, no. You could just wait for the mod to be updated, if its a 'active' mod then it shouldnt take more then a day or two if its a small thing.
