Transfer saves betwen accounts?

My girlfriend hijacked one of my saves and has made a fair bit of progress in it since, so she now wants that save on her account. Copying the save from my account to hers doesn't seem to work. These steps were followed:

1. Copied "shipwrecked_1" and "adventure_1" from my account folder.
2. Pasted both to desktop and renamed from "1" to "2".
3. Copied to her account folder.
4. Booted game, only to see Slot 2 is empty.

I tried disabling Steam Sync to ensure that wasn't simply overriding my changes. I also attempted to delete the "saveindex", going by the assumption that it is what updates the Save Slot list, but that didn't do anything. This was just a shot in the dark, though, as I have no sound idea on the purpose of that file.

Any clues?

I am not the person to tell you that for sure it can't be done, but if she has made good progress on that save, I think she would be surprised at how easy it is to recreate that progress for a second time, as long as you aren't talking about hundreds of days. Then you might really need someone who knows their stuff.

Boot the game, create shipwrecked save in slot 2 by playing on it. Exit game.

Then copy and paste your shipwrecked_2 on the save folder, replacing the one you generated.

Then boot game again and join the slot 2 game so it loads the new save.

Yeah, she's gone into hundreds of days, and has a Seaworthy on both ends.
